Nirtana
soloist

Nirtana believes peace is coming to the world through the arts, by way of an understanding and appreciation of each other's cultures; And, freedom from dispair comes through total self expression. This is why Nirtana has danced since childhood, and continues to do so. She has a deep understanding of the human spirit and a knowing that each person dances a completely unique and beautiful expression of the artform.

Nirtana's style is an energetic, interactive, eclectic cabaret. It is not uncommon to see audience members involved. Through dance, she hopes to inspire more movement and celebration of sensuality in all people. She is also notorious for dancing with snakes, and has learned to always leave the exits wide open! Her first bellydance studies began in Columbia, MO's Continuing Adult Education Classes when she was in her twenties.

Nirtana has gone on to perform for numerous private and public gatherings including: Earth Day Festivals, Tan Tara Resort, little girl birthdays, menopause celebrations, theatre presentations, night clubs, cafes, University football and basketball practices, lectures, fraternities, weddings, bachelor and retirement parties – and even one night at the circus!
