Gaylin Carver Gaylin Carver began bellydancing in 1998 while residing in Cairo, Egypt. Her training comes directly from the source and this is evident in her magnetic and energetic stage presence. Gaylin's style is based on Traditional Egyptian Cabaret as well as incorporating props such as the sword, cane, malaya, and zills. She began teaching bellydance classes with Simone's Seventh Veil of St. Louis in 2000 under the guidance of Dian Wolff. And for the past 6 years, has been teaching bellydance in Jefferson City, MO at all levels – from beginning to advanced. Her troupe of advanced performers are the Capital Ritz Middle Eastern Dancers. While Gaylin is the principal choreographer for the troupe, she encourages her students to choreograph their own solo dances.
