Radhiya Taj

Radhiya Taj

soloist and instructor/choreographer of Rdhiya's Middle Eastern and North African Dance

Radhiya Taj began studying bellydance in 1999. She came to bellydance as a way to exercise and to have fun, but soon learned it would become a life-long joy.

Radhiya also teaches bellydance to other women as an alternative form or exercise available to everyone, no matter what size, shape, age or ethnic background. She believes that bellydance offers women both physical and mental benefits.

In 2003, Radhiya formed Troupe Nayliyat, and since has become the director of Radhiya’s Middle Eastern and North African Dance, Inc. based in St. Louis, MO; a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing this artform with women of all types. One of her goals is to create a friendly sisterhood atmosphere for her students.

Radhiya’s style is based on Classical Egyptian and Folkloric styles of bellydance. Her dance is embued with an elegance and an amazingly graceful demeanor.
