Maxine Jean Claude

soloist

Maxine Jean Claude's first meeting with bellydance in 2003 was quite on accident when she picked up a Veena and Neena instructional DVD. It's been true love ever since.

Maxine believes life is beautiful. And, when she dances, it shows. Maxine's style and ability is amazingly versatile, incorporating tribal fusion, as well as passionate Flamenco moves and other more playful Gypsy styles. From dark passion to an airy sophisticated style to historical and modern, she molds to the music. There are so many facets to her stage personas that she also goes by the stage name of Rajani Rea for her less theatrical performances.

Maxine Jean Claude is also a founding member of the University Society of Middle Eastern Dance on Truman State's campus in Missouri and has also performed with the St. Louis-based Chuvani Bellydance Troupe. She will wow you with her grace and theatrical ability.

Maxine says, "The power and grace of the subtle movements of the body captivates and blesses."
