Jeluna
soloist and fire performer

Between Columbia and KC is Warrensburg, MO, an unlikely place for someone like Jeluna – a fire-spinning bellydancer! However, this modest town is where you will find a highly-versatile bellydancer.

In addition to peforming in countless shows throughout the years such as at nightclubs, the Missouri State Fair, the Renaissance Festival, and many other venues, Jeluna is also a bellydance entrepreneuer. As owner of 13 Moons, Curious Goods, she not only teaches, but also sells bellydance accessories and costumes and travels often to workshops with Judy's Creative Costuming from Sedalia, MO. Her travels have led her to study with many of the country's top bellydance instructors.

Jeluna began this artform through a basic bellydance class in 1982 through the city of Warrensburg's Parks and Recreation Dept. She then went on to start her own telegram business called "Messages from the Middle East" where she gained experience performing for various social gatherings. Today, she is the teacher of the same dance class she first began learning in.

Always looking for ways to add something exciting, humorous and innovative to bellydance, Jeluna's latest talent adds the element of fire – she often incorporates fire spinning, fire fans, and even a fire belt into her acts. Jeluna is a surprising, exciting, and innovative performer, and one that will set you on fire for more!
